Agreed, Merril. What the Left and the Dems are demanding has nothing to do with Insurance. Insurance is hedge or bet against something happening.

WHAT???? When was the insurance of and provision of health care not a "private" affair??? Love the "administrative and public administrative 101" reference...wow... a true government believer. Mandating costs has never worked in the history of mankind.

Sure, Single Payor -- Government run health insurance will lower costs. Just look what its done for Medicare...and Medicaid...and...well....any government agency.

Nothing is free, Troy. Take a good hard look at those "much more progressive countries" and you surely see bankrupt economies and the verge of collapse -- caused in large measure to decades of "progressive" policies that created a cradle to grave dependence on the State.

Sad to say but there as always been starvation and famine on the planet, no matter the population count at the time. Further sad to say is that these seem more attributable to inequalities of distribution, ignorance, warfare, and culture than a outright shortages of basic supplies.

Please provide some examples where nationalized production of goods and services has worked better than what we have currently. Oh, and where citizens have the same liberties and freedoms that we have here in the US.
